I dont see any harm in deleting them, they are only used by the custom server. So, keeping in mind that it's somehow the same occation, those mods that have been downloaded can be deleted ?or, what else can I do about them? I was wondering too if the mods get deleted after exiting the server, but I'm still not sure about it. Hmm, seems like you got exactly what I got, but the only difference is that it's another game. You wont get subscribed to any of the mods but they will get downloaded. I havent joined any custom servers in Day of Imfany yet but I guess it works the same. Thats what happend when I joined a custom server in Insurgency. I dont know if they get deleted when you exit the server, but I doubt it. If a custom server is using any mods you will automaticly download all of them when you enter the server. As for the launcher, it only has a "Mods" category while in-game that shows mods that have been installed, but nothing's there as well.Īnd thank you for the link, I will sure do some extra research there! :) Hmm, I haven't searched for duplicate folders, but I will now and see what I can find. I had deleted them, but after verifying the integrity of files they had been re-downloaded. Well, the Workshop folder is at the directory you said. If the problem still persists after all of this, you could ask in Day of Infamy's modding section in here since there's a higher chance you might meet someone with the same problem in there that could've fixed it. If the game has a launcher, check if it has some sort of settings that allows mods to be downloaded, or maybe some sort of settings in the games options that prevents it from downloading mods. Otherwise check if there might be other duplicate folders of those mods that you may haven't deleted, search the name of those mods through other folders in the steam directory and delete those too if you find any. Try to find the name of the mods that keeps downloading, and search them in the content folder and delete if you find them. Is the Workshop Content folder in the actual Day of Infamy directory on steam? If yes, check another directory in \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content and you might see a bunch of folders having different numbers and such, which depending of how often you used the workshop on different games on steam, there could be a lot of them. If it did, i must've solved it and forgot about it, since i only remember problems that gave me a real hassle. I had encountered various modding problems in the past regarding workshop content, so i don't remember if this happened. I didn't uninstall the game yet, but I did delete the workshop folder & verify the integrity of game files, to and yet what it did was to re-download those files.Īnd lastly, no I haven't tried that out, but I will now, thank you :) Not sure if it will fix it tho. Now, about the mods, I meant that I didn't subscribe to any mod for this game (they simply were automatically downloaded after I joined that Custom server, and they were titled "Day of Infamy - Workshop Content") and when I went to Workshop to see what mods are these and to unsubscribe to them, I didn't see anything there, like I never got any mods. Okay, first of all, the game is Day of Infamy :) Have you tried uninstalling the game and installing it back?Īfter deleting all the workshop folders that have been downloaded, have you tried to verify the integrity of game files? Have you tried subscribing and unsubscribing back? If some mods gets downloaded without you actually visiting the workshop, it doesn't automatically subscribe to that mod unless it prompts you to do it yourself. Protect your installed content before doing so.What do you mean nothing appeared when you tried to find the mods and unsubscribe? If you unsubscribe, they automatically get deleted.
